“Changing the world one friendship at a time” is the motto of the Friendship Foundation. The newly proposed Friendship Foundation building is a combination of special education—both educational and vocational—and community support space, featuring a central gym and elementary school. The exterior landscape comprises recreational green space, sculpture garden, community gardens, walking trails, soccer field, pollinator garden, and outdoor classrooms. Diverse outdoor programs with extensive planting palettes unites all the surrounding elements and emphasizing the message of “seamlessly merging a community of all different minds.”
